There's no stop button for these movies in my brain. Laying broken under bruised clouds that only bring me rain.

The past is a dark place where we can't ever seem to find a way out. I'm a prisoner in my own mind.

Falling faster with no safety net below.

I see the arms on the clock move forward and wonder why can't I?

I'm trapped inside of this burning house I set ablaze on the corner of memory lane. The smoke and flames swallow me whole taking my life as I escape through my soul.

Every second becomes another memory.

We flip back to the pages in our withered books and wish some chapters could be re-written and be different. We lose sleep, control, hope and even our own minds when we dwell and realize all we can really count on is ourselves.

Every step forward is in the wrong direction. I'm losing my life by these recollections. I suffocate myself in my mind of endless depression.

Why can't this just all be a dream?

Slipping through my fingers like the sands of time. I break into pieces that you will never find. Rewind the hands of time to past reveries. Caged in my head with the traced memories.

Pure darkness surrounds me. And I'm stuck in cement shoes.
Depression just drowns me. I'm just meant to lose.
